Fair Play Program

The intention of this program is to develop guidelines and interventions to make the game of hockey as positive an experience as possible, for all participants

We intend to keep the game fun and discourage to the best of our ability:

  • lack of respect for opponents
  • verbal abuse of officials
  • inappropriate spectator behavior
  • any violent behaviour
  • the win at all costs attitude
  • pressure on player or officials

Individuals are considered to be displaying unacceptable behaviour if they are verbally or physically harassing and/or abusing a game participant.

Fair play does not change any rules of the game, it encourages all players on all teams to be a s competitive as possible within the rules.

It is a privilege to play hockey and a right to be treated with fairness and respect.
